Picnic

A great part of Minnesota summer is the opportunity to go on a picnic. That word may mean different things to different people, but to me it means sitting in the shade on a summer day, watching the river roaring by, eating fried chicken and my wife's great potato salad with family.
Yesterday was such a day. The sky was absolutely beautiful with winds out of the east. It looked like it was about to brew up a good thunderstorm but not until we have left. People along the river were catching a few fish and some were just watching.
People used to do such things because it was too hot indoors to enjoy a meal. Today some have air conditioned homes and never go on a picnic. Oh so sad.
You can find the EBook Kindle edition of this book, "To Waltz with a White Horse" at  Amazon.com and at www.peaceriverbooks.comThe Peace River Books blog is updated each day.
Stop in once in a while. I'll try to write something new and informative about my book To Waltz with a White Horse.
Good Reading,
Ron
