Home

The Bigfork Valley was home to a great many native American tribes. They always chose their camps by the water. It wasn't just for drinking, but a place they could always find food. All animals needed water.
In the summer they built their lodges from bent sticks covered with birch bark, a widely available item. Then as winter approached, they used the more common teepee shape. This was because the teepee was much easier to heat.
Stop in once in a while. I'll try to write something new and informative about my book Brothers by Fire. You can find the EBook Kindle edition of this book, "Brothers by Fire" at Amazon.com and at www.peaceriverbooks.com. The Peace River Books blog is updated each day as well.
Good Reading,
Ron
